GET SOME RARE IN-GAME SONIC ITEM CARDS FOR PRE-ORDERING THE LAUNCH EDITION OF PUYO PUYO TETRIS 2
A reveal of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 was probably not what you were expecting today, but it’s here. And a pre-order bonus that includes in-game Sonic item cards was probably even more of a surprise to you. Not only are both real, but you only have a few months to wait before the game releases.
A Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase that was released out of nowhere today is the source of SEGA’s latest announcement, and the official site is already live. The game will have a Skill Battle mode, improved online modes, and much more. The Skill Battle mode is returning from Puyo Puyo Chronicles.
And, as you can see by the picture, there’s a little extra something for Sonic fans. Pre-ordering the game’s “launch edition” will give you a “Skill Battle Booster Pack”, exclusive add-on content for the new mode. This includes some rare Sonic item cards, such as a bubble capsule and a ring.
As for release dates, it depends on the platform. Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 will release for Xbox Series X, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch on December 8th. A Playstation 5 version will arrive in Holiday 2020 and you’ll be able to get the game on Steam in early 2021.
